چکیده
Urbanization is a phenomenon that driven by humans. It has significantly influenced biodiversity, ecosystem processes and regional climate. This work explores the relationship between seven biophysical variables (NDVI, SAVI, Greenness, Albedo, DBI, NDBI, NDBaI indices), LST over period of 30 years (1990–2020), based on remote sensing & GIS. A time-series Landsat images TM, ETM+ OLI/TIRS data as well various geospatial approaches were used to facilitate analysis. The findings have revealed urban/built-up areas Guelma city increased (20.76 km2), in contrast agricultural forest areas, which been reduced (138.26 km2 2.7 km2). average temperature urban setting was (31,43 C°) 1990, whereas, it reached (41,90 2020. lowest values observed bodies with (26,55 1990 (37,78 There possible rise time scale owing substitution green cover soil areas. Generally, there noticeable increase mean 10,47 C° for coefficient correlation indices shows strong negative exists vegetation SAVI Greenness) LST. In addition this, (Albedo, NDBaI) can effectively retrieve They positively correlated all years. DBI highest consistently rising positive (R = 0,62).This investigation provides us clear understanding impacts urbanization

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملEvaluation of land use/land cover changes in Mekelle City, Ethiopia using Remote Sensing and GIS
Land use is a dynamic phenomenon that changes with time and space due to anthropogenic pressure and development. Evaluating the existing land use and its periodic change is useful for urban planners, policy makers and natural resource managers. Land use and land cover changes in Mekelle City, Ethiopia (north east Africa) over a period of 25 years was studied using remotely sensed data. Multi te...
متن کاملUsing remote sensing data and GIS to evaluate air pollution and their relationship with land cover and land use in Baghdad City
The research used the satellite image (Landsat 7 ETM ) within the thermal infrared sixth band (TIR6) and geographic information system (GIS) to determine the air pollution and its relationship with the land cover (LC) and land use (LU) of Baghdad city. Concentration of total suspended particles (TSP), lead (Pb), carbon oxides (CO, CO2), and sulphur dioxide (SO2) were obtained from 22 ground mea...
متن کاملSimulation and prediction of land use and land cover change using GIS, remote sensing and CA-Markov model
This study analyzes the characteristics of land use/land cover change in Jordan’s Irbid governorate, 1984–2018, and predicts future land use/land cover for 2030 and 2050 using a cellular automata-Markov model. The results inform planners and decision makers of past and current spatial dynamics of land use/land cover change and predicted urban expansion, for a better understanding and successful...
متن کاملSpatial–Temporal Monitoring of Ecotonal Belt Using Landscape Ecological Indices in the Central Elburz Region: Remote Sensing and GIS Analysis
Iran has mountainous landscapes and half of its surface is occupied by highlands. Moreover, Iran is an arid country and deserts are located at lower altitudes. Most metropolitan areas are positioned in mid-altitudes between mountain and desert. Cities grow upwardly toward the highlands under pressures of urbanization and desertification. Foothill ecotones are a zone between upland mountains and...
